so the sims show frost dw with Unholy Presence being the top dps, this is stacking hit,exp, haste, mastery and then crit in that order, but the weird thing is that as a dw in Imp frost presence and using the old weights of hit, exp, mastery, crit and then haste has added about 3-4k dps since the patch so I am wondering, and perhaps this is just and attempt to get this thread active, but what have you noticed since the patch in terms of dps?

now while I realize that the new weights make it easier for dps to actually have an offspec ( ie. dw frost, 2 hand unholy) since the stat weights are compareable, I wonder does anyone else think that the dw frost was really intended to be in imp frost spec, since personally I have found that in unholy I am actually doing about 2k less with the lighter frost strike and oblit crits, even at the slower rate from the lesser rune regen.....not to mention that in imp frost spec with only about 600 haste I am sitting at nearly 50% haste,...anyway, maybe I am just being bored and drunk, but there are alot of dks in this guild who raid, or want to, so tell me what you think/have noticed

I honestly don't do much of my own personal research, I read up on what EJ says on the matter and their word is good enough for me. With that said, I use the dw frost spec in unholy presence and I have yet to have someone be able to be able to consistently beat me in damage. If I don't have a special job during a boss fight I will typically be on the top of the meters (after this last patch that is), and even when I have special jobs I have to focus on I still manage to remain somewhere near the top.

I think that dw frost in unh presence is the best spec, but then again I haven't really experimented with any other spec because I've been so enthralled with this one. I suppose I could try out other specs and see how they do in comparison, but after seeing how well my spec does I find it hard to believe that any other spec could be more rape.

^--- that is especially true in arenas, ask Omnipusx. Any arena match we do I'll have over double the next highest damage no matter what. Needless to say, I love what they did with DKs this last patch ^_^

Thats because i havent been doing dps since patch came out

and cause I switched to resto
