TNF has decided that the majority of our players are wanting change in the way we raid. The basic idea is that we're going to push through our 25 mans just like we do in our 10 mans, as a (good) side-effect we will also have 2 10 man progression runs.
What does this mean?
Well, just like we have set restrictions to our 10 man progression runs we will be setting restrictions to our 25 man progression runs. We will be taking players that want to progress through Ice Crown at the quickest rate, and that show us they wish to progress at a quick rate. How do you show us you want to progress with us?
*Show up to raids on time, if it just is not possible... let us know =).
*Show up prepared. Know the fights, have your flasks/food (Or get some from an Officer well before the pull.)
*Be quick at adapting to every situation. We will be going after new bosses, this requires players to know their role in a raid withOUT having to be told what to do every step of the way.
*We will need players capable of doing 7k dps+ (Preferably 8k+) on every fairly straight-forward fight.
We will be using a voting system to judge who comes into a raid. We will allow a certain number of players and Officers to vote for the players they wish to bring, and the classes we want to recruit.
Our Progression 25 man team will do what our 10 man progression is currently trying to do. We take a set of players who know their class to the T and have the gear to lay it down. This then allows us to take all of our players through once we have the fights down, whether they're geared or not.
We will also be re-working our ranks in the guild. It will no longer be a feat of strength to be promoted from initiate. We will be establishing a rank to signify who all is in our progression group, as well. Senior Raider is the current name we have chosen for this rank.
Please keep in mind that we are trying to further the the amount of fun our players have while playing, not decrease it. If you don't make it into the progression crew for the week don't take it personally. Prove to us that you're ready for the Lich King 25 man and lets go blow em' up.

I would like to point out that this new system is not in any way designed to shut people out of the weekly raids. It is so those who would like to progress through ICC content past Sauerfang will be able to do so. It takes a lot of dps to get the later ICC content down. Bottom line is, we can't do it without geared players who know the fights.
The good news is that most of you regular raiders already meet the gear requirements, and those of you that don't aren't far from it. A couple of runs through ICC 10m or 25m ToTC should get you caught up. And those of you who wish to stay strictly casual are going to be able to continue to have fun, just like always. This is a win-win move for TNF, in my opinion. If you want to be a senior raider, and don't get to go to ICC one week, you will probably get to go the next. If you are concerned about your status, though, or are not going on the raid each week, please pst Malf or another officer in-game. If anyone needs help with their rotations, spec or gear, please pm an officer in-game or here. Even if we don't know the answer, we can point you in the right direction. |

With these new rules in forced people that don't get to play due to other obligations are kinda left out because lack of the opportunity to improve instance experience, g.s, damage etc. I do realize this guild is growing though and their are people who wanna experience more stuff so I hope this doesn't come across as a "QQ" post, because that not the reasoning behind my rant.

We have currently hit a wall in icc 25, and are about to RAM into one in our icc 10 mans, due to gear. The previous stated restrictions will allow our players who aren't very busy with school, family, work, to progress at the rate they want, quickly. However, by no means will our players who can't play much be left out of raiding. We are currently working hard to recruit players that will allow both types of players have a good time.
On the note about gear: Gearscore is easy to come by, spamming heroics, buying (now) cheap mats to craft 245 items, and doing TOTC 25 alone can get you to a 5.3k gs. Athris just came back from being afk for 2+ months and is already almost sporting a 5.5k gs.
