The Naked Fear board members and officers have elected to use a new loot system for future. The decision has been well supported by all members, and provides more solutions to our current loot system.

The loot system is known as suicide kings. The explanation of how the system works is found here: TNF Suicide Kings

The lists will be setup soon and the initial list will be set by random order. The addon itself is optional, but if you'd like to see a nice interface for our loot system you can download it here: K-Suicide Kings

Please contact any officer, board member, or Tyler for answers to any questions!

Thanks!

It looks like a better way to more evenly distribute good gear to those who really need it. Especially since it always seems some people never get a good roll...(not me, of course, I have done very well, but I have noticed others)

This looks like a great solution.

They are classified as a piece of loot, since currently there is a high demand for them.

I think this system is the best way to evenly distribute gear. This way those with roll hacks (Talarisk/Tezrian) don't get all the loot. We need to get everyone geared for icecrown not just a select few.

i like the concept of a more balanced loot system and the idea of how it works but i wont get a full opinion till i see it in action.

One question i do have is how you will randomize the initial list?

And will the end tier patterns be distributed the same way they have been or implemented in this new system?

I would think not. The reason being that a pattern does not solely benefit those that win. Yes, they receive the pattern, but everyone else can have the item made through that person.

In my opinion, I would prefer to give patterns to Board Members -> Officers -> Veterans and so on. For the reasons: the Board Members and Officers we have are not going anywhere in the foreseeable future, so it seems safe to assume the pattern will stay within the guild; also our Board Members and Officers are all active so while in may be a day or two, between logins; it is likely that they would be on sooner rather than a month down the line.

The addon will randomize the list. It takes everyone's character from the guild list and jumbles it up =D.

For everyone who does not have the ksk loot system addon. Or can not see the list quite yet.

(right click and click "open in new tab" To see a clear image of the first part of the list)

If you do not have the addon I encourage you to get it. It's very simple to use, and doesn't mess with your UI.

Question: if an item drops and i pass on it and then no one else wants it in the list so that it becomes available to offspecs, can i roll offspec on it with out losing my position on the list if i win the item?

If an item is not worth someone using their position on the list it is not worth giving the item to them. The item will be DE'd and used for enchants/items for the members of the guild. - Is 2 spellpower really worth 100g? -

The off-spec roll will only be used for rolling off-spec. If someone rolls off-spec for an item, and wins it, they will not lose their spot on the list.

The loot system works great! The only problem I had with it was this fail druid who messed it up >_>. He was such an idiot.

The "QQ Noobs" he is referring to were a few turds that got pissed because they were the lowest bid, until somebody else outbid them on a great 2h weapon.

There was no issue with the system and how it works. The important thing for everybody to remember and do their best to abide by is only bid for their main spec and wait for the opportunity to roll offspec (if one is presented).

This system is great for the casual raiding experience we have in TNF. Nothing is really left up to chance (except for gear you can use dropping like always). It was mentioned that, if you attended just 1 CC 25m each week, you would likely get an item every other week. That is damn good odds if you ask me!

The random 1000 rolls were too random and subjective to "who is it the better upgrade for" judgement call. If it is just a "marginal" upgrade for you and you waste your bid on it...then you go to the bottom of the list, losing out on the chance for a spectacular upgrade.

It worked great the first night in implementation. My vote is to continue using the system. I think less drama will present itself as long as everybody understands the rules.

My kudos to those that thought up / introduced and implemented the system into TNF raiding.

The system has a few bugs that need to be worked out, but all in all this system seems to be the best we've had since the old kara loot system.

A few things:

1. We had some drama with folks not understanding the system last night. To TNF members, lets be professional about this - please refrain from name calling.

2. If anyone has any ? about how the loot system works - please whisper an officer or bm in game for an explanation. Having the addon helps a ton in understanding how the system works.

3. This loot system is still a work in progress. Hopefully by 3.3 all the problems will be worked out.

If anything this system allows for the most even distribution of gear based on raid involvement and need.

seems good so far, imo

but i was asking about the whole, if there is only one person who can use an item, do they get it?

answer was no, they have to use their spot, to avoid manipulation of the system...or some such

but, i was thinking, i mean, if shit in one raid keeps dropping that can be only be used by one person, couldnt that one person just keep bidding every time, regardless of spot, and still get the item? thus avoiding manipulation but still getting all the loot?

i mean just curious, cause i mean even if ur number 106 in the master list and last in the raid, and nobody bids, u can still win it...

just putting out my thoughts bout it.

but other than that, i find it pretty good, the loot system that is,l cept for the whole mamanbrigit incident. wondering if there is anything that can prevent that type of dick cheese drama, on maman's part of course
