The Naked Fear

Here's the maximum control spec for Faction Champs.

This is not a dps spec. You'll do crap DPS in it, so don't even try. This is a spec that will shut down at least 1 Melee DPS NPC at all times. All you'll be doing is wreaking havoc on the opposite team by preventing them from doing any decent damage to the raid. It will also give you a lot of "oh shit" abilities to save your team mates.

I need one DK with a few peices of tank gear that is a both a quick learner and very observant to volunteer to take this spec for tonight to help us clear Faction Champs.

Highlights:
1 ) Anti-Magic Zone to protect clumps of guildies from casters.
2 ) Free (glyphed) Hungering Cold to CC while your DR is refreshing.
3 ) 25'' CD on Death Grip.
4 ) Desecration 50% snare applied on every Plague Strike
5 ) No-cost Mind Freeze.
6 ) 30 yd. range on Chains of Ice.
7 ) Chains of Ice applies Frost Fever.
8 ) Frost Fever applies 50% snare for 10''.
9 ) 1'40'' CD on Strangulate.
10 ) +15% run speed in Frost Presence.
11 ) Perma-ghoul for additional stun every 30''.

Strategy (assuming you are assigned to the rogue):
1 ) Taunt rogue and back away from raid while rogue chases you. Do as little damage to him as possible (don't even target him until necessary!), this will "trick" him and help keep him focused on you.
2 ) Taunt rogue again after he loses interest in you, continue backing away from the raid, even out of heal range. The further the better. If you hit a wall, stop and tank him, but do NOT cast any defensive cooldowns, as this will cause him to lose interest in you.
3 ) Chains of Ice the rogue after he loses interest in you, then follow up with a Plague Strike (from in front of him) to make sure he's snared even if he gets cleansed.
4 ) Chains of Ice again, Plague Strike again.
5 ) Follow him (at max death grip range) until he gets close to the raid. Death Grip him back again, as far as possible, then Hungering Cold. He's out of commission for 10 seconds. Bonus points for hitting another NPC with your Hungering Cold.
6 ) Go drop an Anti-Magic Zone in a clump of guildies, taunt/root any free melee NPC's running around while you are on your way back to the rogue.
7 ) When Hungering Cold drops, wait until Rogue gets close to guildies, then Taunt. He'll chase you back to the wall again.
8 ) Repeat from #2 ad infinitum until the raid comes to kill the rogue.
9 ) Move on to help lock down another NPC, like the lock or SP. Open with Strangulate, use Mind Freeze, Death Grip and Ghoul Stun to interrupt spells. Taunt during cooldowns so a few un-interrupted spells target you instead of a clothie. Anti-Magic Shell is good here.

Because I sucked so much that night when we ran 10m, I'd be willing to respec for faction champs

I like that fight...although it is a bit tricky. We killed the undead guy and the pally first. A DK with that much control seems nifty.

Just a question Ghouldan, but what's the actual spec? How are the points spent, like 0/21/50 or 0/40/31 or whatever?

Edit: also, is there a 3rd major glyph you suggest?

Wow... just got done looking at the DK minor glyphs ghoul has on that link... those aren't OP at all. Druids get to dash every 3 minutes instead of 5 WOOP-DI-DOOO. Oh yeah, and we get to swim faster in seal form or some crap like that?

Drood glyphs are a little bleh. Like them more than hunter ones though.
