FIRST THING:
We are all here to have fun. If you feel the work required is a hindrance to your good time maybe you need to rethink your desire to raid. Raiding is a privilege, not a right. Raiding requires work. So come prepared, do your research, listen to the raid leader(s) and above all else, have fun.
10 MAN CONTENT:
It is your responsibility to know or to have:
A: Consumables, see below.
B: Have some idea or know boss fights.
C: Let raid leader know if there is something special about yourself, such as, if you have to leave early or some speical need.
D: Sign up on the calendar.
25 MAN CONTENT:
In addition to everything above for the ten man, it is your responsibility to know or to have:
A: Pay attention to details.
B: Everyone needs to understand that no one but the raid leader's position in the raid is guaranteed. If you do not perform to the standards set by the raid leader, you can be replaced. Do not take it personally, if you are asked to step out of a raid. Take it in stride and talk with the raid leader later and do some research of your own - everything possible to improve.
C: Do not just hit the minimum for raids and stop everyone from having a good time. Everyone should always be striving to improve their game play. Research ability rotations, gear, spec - everything possible. Your class threads in the forums is a great place to start.

2. Be mindful while in vent, while raiding. This is really important. The only people who should be talking in vent are the raid leader(s) and those assigned to key roles throughout the raid. It is very hard for the raid leader(s) to give directions when there are several other people talking at the same time. With this being said, it's perfectly okay to chatter and goof off in non-critical times - just use wise judgement on this one.
3. Please don't loot during fights. It usually takes a couple of seconds for people to click the greed or pass button and that is valuable DPS, healing and agro gen for tanks.
4. This is much like number two, be mindful of yoru chatting in guild, trade or general chat while raiding, don't let it interfere with you hearing directions or missing a call.
5. Be respectful. All of us are learning as we go, while the raid is running please don't talk about your own strats or working out differences or anything else raid related. Out of respect for fellow raiders and raid leaders save your questions and comments until after the raid, after an encounter is over or if asked for.
6. Do research on your own and study instance and raid boss fights. There is a ton of info out there. Use it to your advantage. Find out what your class's role is for each particular fight and find out your placement. But don't get totally set on one strat or another because, sometimes what works for one group will not work for another. But they will give you a general idea on how to achieve the outcome desired.
7. Please see this thread for raiding required addons.
8. Hav fun! This is the most important rule of them all, we are doing this because we enjoy raiding and want to see new content.
GEAR CHECKS
Raid leaders will do gear checks on those signing up or entering raids. This is to ensure a fun time for all. For those that do not make the gear check requirements - we will usually reserve two spots in ten man's for undergeared folk to come in and get gear.
If you would like to check your gear against the raid you are signing up for, please visit this site.
FINAL NOTES
These rules are not here to take away the fun of raiding, they are here for totally the opposite. They are to help the fluidity of the raid and also to help us progress into twenty-five mans.
